I am very excited about this new collection Leanika by Dena Designs and I have had a great time working on some projects using this line.  My first project was this darling Texture Magic Tote!  I am learning to use a new product that makes your quilted fabrics have a more quilted look.  Once I have a few samples made I will share with you how to do it.  I tried it out with the new Leanika fabrics and WOW, I just love the results.  What do you think???? Cute, cute, cute!!!

  The Sew it Collection is a new line by Amy Barickman for Red Rooster fabrics.  Her motivation for the collection was from a 1929 classic sewing book and the line provides all the vintage charm you could want in a reproduction fabric.  The enchanting panel features a large, central block that depicts a homey scene of children busily creating their treasures.  The panel is balanced by a large, repeating stripe that includes sections of "button people", red cross-stitch letters and sewing notions.  There is a variety of charming coordinate patterns with the overall color story of black, red and cream used for the entire collection.  The latest issue of Fons & Porters magazine (March/April) has one of the best designs I have seen for this darling line.  Sew-it by Cyndi Herhey is a charming design that shows the collection to it's best!  Give it a look and see if you don't agree!

One of my favorite designers is Sue Zipkin!  She designs fabric for Clothworks and we recently received her new collection Baby Buggies.  This line really shows off her talent with colors and designs.  The fabric is light, fun and whimsical, purrfect for a baby.  Just using the main panel and adding a small inner border and outer border makes up a real quick and fast baby quilt!   Even the accent fabrics in this collection are wonderful and I have used them in several other projects.  Check out this new collection on our site and order soon because this collection is quite popular!!

Gorgeous new flannels by Valori Wells!  Big, bright and bold fabrics in soft flannel!  Try one of her new patterns to make a cozy & warm quilt! Bloom is one of my favoriites, but then I do like Flora too!  Too hard to choose!

There are strange things going on at our house.  Fabric is magically appearing on my steps.  Someone is raiding my design studio at night.  I believe I have caught the suspect but he claims differently.  What do you think?

There is still alot of snow here in the Midwest!  We have recieved 23.5" of snow in just a little over 2 weeks!  More on the way too! Woo Hoo!!

Lucky us, we live in the Midwest!  I think the snow is finished falling and we ended up with 11 additional inches!  It truly is beautiful outside and it's nice to be cozy and warm inside!  Hopefully we can get out tomorrow in order to start the Stuff Your Stash Contest!!  Woo Hoo!
